In addition, the Prophet showed that the most significant portion that a Muslim should not exceed is three days for the entire Quran. This was demonstrating by the Prophet (PBUH). He (saw) gave several examples to show why it is not preferable to finish reciting the entire Quran in such a short amount of time:
In the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Abdullah ibn Amr inquired, "In how many days should I complete the recitation of the whole Qur'an, Messenger of Allah?"
His response was within a month.
He said I have more energy to finish it in a shorter period than this one. Continued to recite these words while decreasing the time until he finally said, "Complete its recitation in seven days."
He repeated himself and stated, "I have more energy to finish it in a period that is less than this."
According to a saying attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), "Whoever completes the recitation of the Qur'an in fewer than three days does not understand it."
